beadBALL are 1 µm sized non-magnetic, monodisperse microspheres based on a polyvinyl chloride matrix.
The advantage of polyvinyl chloride microspheres compared to polystyrene microspheres is the higher mechanical and chemical stability.
As many synthetic polymers, polyvinyl chloride possesses an auto-fluorescence in the yellow-green wavelength area which can be used for fluorescence detection.
beadBALL-active microspheres are useful for covalent
binding of bioaffine ligands, such as proteins or antibodies,
as a tool for diagnostic application, e.g. Agglutination Test (LAT),
Lateral flow assays or Particle Capture ELISA.

beadBALL-affinity bioaffine ligands are covalently bound to the
microspheres. High selectivity and high capacity make these products for an ideal
tool for the binding of specific biomolecules.
